Jazz in the Grass

Hello everyone,

Angela and I would like to sincerely thank each of you for attending this year's All White Party, Jazz in the Grass. We truly appreciate everyone who came out to enjoy an evening of music, fellowship, laughter, and fun. Your presence helped make this year's event another memorable one.

We also wanted to take a moment to clear up some confusion regarding the wristbands and the hosted meal.

For many years, Angela and I have provided a complimentary meal for our out-of-town guests and a limited number of specially invited guests. This has included family and friends who traveled to be with us, individuals who made significant contributions to help make the event possible, and those who have shown extraordinary love, support, and assistance to our family during Angela's illness. Providing that meal has always been our way of expressing our appreciation.

Last year, unexpected rain caused many people to gather under the food tent. With so many people under one tent, it became difficult to distinguish who the hosted meal had been prepared for. As a result, individuals who were not part of the hosted meal were served as well, and unfortunately, the food ran out before everyone it had been prepared for had an opportunity to eat.

To help prevent that from happening again, we introduced wristbands this year. The wristbands were simply a way for our serving team to identify those who had been invited to the hosted meal. They were never intended to make anyone feel excluded or to suggest that anyone was more important than someone else.

We value every person who attends Jazz in the Grass. Whether you came to enjoy the music, spend time with friends, dance, or simply relax and have a good evening, we are grateful that you chose to celebrate with us.

Angela and I appreciate your understanding as we continue to learn and make improvements each year. Our goal has always been to create an event where everyone feels welcome and enjoys themselves. We sincerely thank you for your support over the years, and we look forward to seeing everyone again next year.
